Description
The sales store in Mansoura was designed as a prototype for the architectural branding of sales stores for Suez Cement, a child company of Italcementi in Egypt. The design aimed to maintain a solid contemporaneity that leaves an imprint in the imagination of the visitor. Being a cement company, the design employs concrete in varying forms, as in the bareface flooring and the precast panels. Conceived from the very basic elements of the visuals and identity of Italcementi, spaces are defined by enfolding lines probing materiality, heaviness, lightness and movement.
